If you happen to be missing any teeth, the strength of your jaw can begin to deteriorate due to lack of support from the teeth. If your jaw strength deteriorates too much, dental implants will not be capable of being held in place when inserted as tooth replacement treatments.   However, our team at Aspire Surgical can improve your smile and strengthen your jaw through a bone graft.

Bone grafting treatments are surgical procedures designed to remove bone from one section of your body and graft it onto another, which can include your jawbone. In addition to your own bone being used, artificial bone grafting materials can often be implemented as well. Once a bone graft is put in place, it will take a few months to adequately bond with your jawbone and strengthen to the point it can allow dental implants to be placed. However, if it is a very small graft, your jaw can often be ready in less time.

If you would like to speak with Dr. Joseph Fullmer, he can be reached at our office in Heber, Utah. To schedule a comprehensive oral exam to determine if you are a good candidate for a bone grafting procedure, you are welcome to call our office at 435-315-2050. We look forward to giving you the smile you need. Have a wonderful Halloween and a terrific holiday season!
